Some of the best holiday memories begin around the table. A favorite side dish passed between neighbors, another chair pulled up for family, and a turkey at the center of it all.
If you’re beginning to plan your holiday meal, Cunningham Pastured Meats whole turkeys are now in the freezer at Cliff’s Country Market in Caldwell—and we’d love to introduce you to the farmer behind them.
Meet Brian, Your Local Poultry Farmer
Brian Hargrove is the same farmer who raises Cunningham’s pastured chickens. His work on pasture in Marsing Idaho, reflects the hands-on care that goes into raising poultry outdoors.
These locally raised turkeys had room to roam, forage, and be turkeys. Knowing who raised your food adds something meaningful to the meal, especially when you’re serving the people you love.
What Goes Into Their Care?
The turkeys receive a soy-free feed made with non-GMO ingredients: corn, wheat, barley, camelina meal, sesame meal, peas, fish meal, and alfalfa meal, plus an organic mineral blend.
The birds receive no vaccines. Brian also uses natural cayenne pepper as part of his flock-care routine.
For families who want to know more about how their food is raised, these details help tell the story behind the bird.
